Aussie Migration Services Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) operates partnervisa.com.au. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Our Registered Migration Agent is Zack Ristov, MARN 1465356. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email address and phone number.
- Information about your situation from our assessment and enquiry forms, such as your relationship status, your partner’s citizenship or residency, your location and your intended visa pathway.
- Documents and information you provide once you engage us, which may include identity documents, relationship evidence and health or character information needed for a visa application. Some of this is sensitive information under the Privacy Act, and we collect it only with your consent and only as needed for your application.
- Technical information when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and assess your eligibility.
- To provide migration advice and prepare and lodge visa applications on your behalf.
- To meet our obligations under the Migration Act 1958 and the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.
- To improve our website and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
- To contact you about our services. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
Who we share it with
We disclose your personal information only where needed to provide our services or where required by law, including to:
- The Department of Home Affairs and other Australian government bodies involved in your application.
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as IT, hosting, email and document storage providers.
- Website and analytics providers, including Google (Analytics and reCAPTCHA), Meta (Facebook advertising tools), CleanTalk (spam protection) and Trustindex (review display).
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in line with the APPs.
